The beach

The water is shallow and good for families, though it faces north and gets waves when the wind blows.
Getting there
Regular buses run between Chania and the coast resorts. Driving, follow the coast road west; parking is along the side streets.
Pano Stalos and nearby
Climb up to Pano Stalos, about 150 m inland, for a quieter traditional village and views over the coast. Thodorou islet sits offshore, Agia Marina is under 2 km west and Kalamaki under 2 km east.
