The beach
Fine pebbles lie below big vertical rocks, with small sandy coves along the shore. The water is deep, blue and cool because of the stream, and good for snorkelling.
The settlement, also known as Agios Panteleimon after its church, has a spring with plane trees said to be around 200 years old, a small taverna and café, and rooms to let. The spring water is drinkable year-round.
Getting there
There is no road from Tsoutsouros, but a footpath links them in about 20 minutes, passing the Drakospilia cave. By car, a poor dirt road of about 15 km starts before Achendrias. Goats on the cliffs can dislodge stones, so don't park directly under the rock faces.
Nearby
The Lichnistis waterfalls flow in winter and early spring. Agios Nikitas monastery and beach are about 2 km away, and the Agios Antonios palm grove is 2 to 3 km.
