The coves
The shore is broken into small bays of pebbles and rock. There are no umbrellas, so shade comes from rocks and a few trees. The coast faces west and gets wind and waves on many afternoons, so pick a calm day.
Neratzia, a small sandy beach with a pier, is about 100 m away.
The drive down
A paved road leaves the Chania–Kissamos highway and winds down through Ravdoucha village. On the way you pass the cave chapels of Agia Marina and Agios Onoufrios.
Eating
The fish tavernas by the sea are the main reason many locals come. A late lunch followed by sunset over Kissamos Bay is the classic Ravdoucha afternoon.
Questions before you go

No. Bring your own shade.
Is Ravdoucha beach sandy?
Mostly pebbles and rock; Neratzia next door has some sand.
When is Ravdoucha best?
