The beaches

Limani, inside the harbour, is small, sandy and calm, good for children, with tavernas a few steps away. The main beach is fairly large with pebbles and rocks; it is unorganised and gets waves.

About 1 km east, the Pigada coves are tiny strips of sand under high cliffs, secluded but usually wavy. West of the village, a hotel has created two artificial sandy beaches by a cement pier at Volaki.

The Milatos cave

About 1.5 km away is the Milatos cave, where in 1823 Ottoman troops besieged and killed many locals who had taken refuge inside. A small chapel stands at the entrance.

Nearby

Sissi is about 3.5 km west, with more tavernas and its own small harbour. Old olive groves surround the village.
