What to expect
Kera suits people who prefer an unorganised beach: there are no sunbeds or bars, just a small stretch of sand. The long Karavos rock offshore is the landmark that tells you you are in the right place.
Because it sits below the road and out of sight, it is often much quieter than the organised beaches either side.
Getting there
Leave Kalyves heading east towards Almyrida and watch for a place to park along the road above the cove, then walk down the slope. Wear proper shoes for the descent.
Nearby
Kalyves beach, long and organised, is just to the west, and Almyrida, with tavernas and a shallow sandy beach, is a few minutes' drive east. Both are good for lunch after a swim at Kera.
