The beach

The water is shallow, turquoise and usually calm, convenient for a swim without leaving town.
Getting there
Walk from the centre or the marina (about 5 minutes from the marina), or take a town bus. From Gargadoros, a coastal footpath of about 5 minutes leads on to Almyros beach.
Nearby
Kitroplatia, the town-centre beach, is about 1 km north. The Folklore and Archaeological museums of Agios Nikolaos are both within walking distance.
