The cove
Karavostasi sits in a small enclosed bay beyond the harbour. The sand is fine, the water shallow, calm and cool from the springs that feed Bali's bay.
It is organised, though a little less than the other three beaches, with sunbeds, showers and a lifeguard in season. Arrive early in July and August if you want space.
Getting there
Drive or walk through Bali village past the harbour; Karavostasi is about 400 m beyond Limani. Parking near the cove is limited, so it is easier to park by the harbour and walk.
Nearby
Varkotopos is 800 m back towards the centre and Livadi about 1 km. The Attali monastery and the hill of Timios Stavros are within a short drive for views over the bay.
