The beach

Gialopotama lies at the mouth of a small valley, west of a low hill. The sand gives way to rocks in places, and the rocky bottom is good for snorkelling.

There are no sunbeds or bars. A few small houses and apartments for rent sit on the hill. The boulders at the eastern end are used by naturists.

Getting there

Drive the asphalt road down from Kerames, or come along the paved track east from Preveli via the Drymiskos coves. The neighbouring beaches of Pirgos (0.4 km) and Agia Fotini (0.8 km) are close.

Nearby

Preveli palm beach and the Swallows' Canyon are about 3 km away. For a taverna lunch, the fish taverna at Agia Fotini is the nearest.
