What to expect
Lykos sits right next to Finikas, separated from it by a large rock. The shore is rocky with pebbles, and the water is deep and clear, ideal for snorkelling.
A few small tavernas and rooms serve walkers on the E4, so you can stop for lunch between Loutro and Marmara.
Getting there
From Loutro, follow the E4 west over the headland past Finikas; it is a rocky but well-trodden path, about 30 minutes for most walkers. From Marmara, at the exit of the Aradena gorge, walk east.
Boats between Loutro, Marmara and Chora Sfakion can also drop you nearby in summer.
Plan your walk
The path is exposed and hot in summer. Walk early, carry water and wear proper shoes rather than flip-flops.
